Houston Chronicle Interviews Dr. Williams About Texans QB Brian Hoyer and NFL Concussion Issues

Chronicle: With Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer concussed for the second time in the past two months, how susceptible is he to more if he tries to return in the next week or so? He’s suffered five concussions, two this season, with the latest coming against the New England Patriots. The previous one was against the Cincinnati Bengals and he missed the game the following week and then was able to play the following week.

The Houston Chronicle spoke with Dr. Vernon Williams, the director of the center for sports neurology and pain medicine at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles for his thoughts.
